A seasoned M&A veteran, he brings over two decades of extensive experience in cross-border and domestic transactions, spanning both corporate and private equity landscapes.
Pushkar Khire has built a strong track record in leading complex, high-value M&A transactions, including tax due diligence, transaction structuring, direct and indirect share transfers, and business transfers. His expertise extends to advising on transaction documentation from an India tax and regulatory standpoint, making him a key strategic advisor in navigating intricate deal environments. Over the years, he has played a crucial role in enabling businesses to optimize investment structures, manage funding strategies, and execute efficient exit planning.
Pushkar Khire has also been deeply involved in advising on inbound and outbound investments, helping organizations design entry strategies through optimal jurisdictions while ensuring effective cash repatriation mechanisms. His experience in corporate restructuring is particularly noteworthy, having led several cross-border and domestic mergers through both NCLT and fast-track routes to drive value creation and operational efficiency for business groups. Additionally, he has supported Indian and global clients in post-acquisition integration to unlock synergies and scale operations effectively.
Prior to joining Upwisery, Pushkar Khire was associated with leading professional services firms including Deloitte and PwC for over 20 years. Most recently, he served as Partner in the M&A Tax and Regulatory practice at Deloitte India since April 2022, where he also acted as a lead partner on acquisitions undertaken by Deloitte network firms in India.
Pushkar Khire’s contributions extend beyond client advisory, having been part of the partner group at Deloitte India that made key representations to the Central Board of Direct Taxes on M&A-related provisions under the Finance Bill, 2025. Known for his solution-oriented approach and deep subject matter expertise, he has consistently delivered innovative tax advisory solutions and earned recognition from leading corporate houses. His appointment is expected to further enhance Upwisery’s capabilities in delivering high-impact M&A and regulatory advisory services.
