Santiago Giménez-Utiel has been appointed as Vice President of Sales at Pankaboard, marking a significant leadership addition to the company’s global commercial organisation. Based between Helsinki and Madrid, he joins the Executive Management Team and reports directly to the CEO. His appointment comes at a pivotal time as Pankaboard continues to strengthen its international market presence while advancing its sustainability-led growth agenda.
In his new role, Santiago will be responsible for defining and executing Pankaboard’s global sales strategy, with a clear focus on revenue growth, profitability, and long-term customer value creation. His mandate includes aligning commercial objectives with sustainability and ESG priorities, strengthening customer partnerships, and ensuring that sales execution supports the company’s broader strategic and environmental goals.
Santiago brings decades of international leadership experience across sales, marketing, customer experience, and sustainability. Prior to joining Pankaboard, he held senior global roles at Amcor, most notably as Global Account Director & Customer Sustainability Director, where he managed strategic accounts valued at over €300 million. His impactful leadership was recognised with the 2023 Amcor President’s Award, reflecting his ability to deliver both commercial excellence and sustainable value.
Earlier in his career, Santiago held leadership positions at DS Smith, Smurfit Kappa Group, CHEP, Grupo Lantero (SCA Packaging), Grupo Koala – Inotech, and Bonduelle. Across these organisations, he led complex international sales portfolios, strengthened customer-centric strategies, and delivered consistent performance across diverse markets and geographies, building a strong reputation as a transformational commercial leader.
Beyond his corporate roles, Santiago is also actively engaged in academia and thought leadership. He serves as a Global MBA Professor at IME Business School, is a business speaker on Capital Radio, and has worked as an independent consultant and entrepreneur. His appointment reinforces Pankaboard’s commitment to experienced, globally minded leadership that can drive sustainable growth, commercial innovation, and long-term stakeholder value.
