Kausalya Nandakumar has been appointed as Chief Business Officer of the Emerging Mobility Business Unit at Hero MotoCorp Ltd., marking a strategic move to bolster the company’s vision for the future of mobility through innovation and sustainability.
In her new role, Nandakumar will lead the growth and strategic direction of Vida, Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility initiative, reporting directly to Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman.
Bringing nearly two decades of leadership experience, Nandakumar has built a reputation for transforming businesses, scaling new ventures, and advancing electric and digital mobility. She spent 18 years at the Mahindra Group, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd., where she spearheaded the go-to-market strategy for its $9.8 billion electric SUV business.
Throughout her career, she played key roles across Mahindra’s electric shared mobility venture Glyd, the digital logistics platform SmartShift, and the farming-as-a-service initiative Krish-e, showcasing a diverse portfolio of business leadership and innovation.
Nandakumar holds an MBA in Marketing from NMIMS, Mumbai, and a Bachelor’s in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from Mumbai University.
