Manish Tiwary, currently serving as Managing Director (Designate) at Nestlé S.A.R., brings with him a wealth of leadership experience from his previous roles at Amazon, Unilever, and other global entities. Prior to joining Nestlé, he held the position of Country Manager for Amazon India, where he led the e-commerce giant’s operations from 2020 to 2024. His tenure at Amazon was marked by transformational growth, digital innovation, and customer-centric strategies that redefined the online retail landscape in India.
Tiwary’s leadership journey began at Hindustan Unilever Limited, where he held several pivotal positions over nearly two decades, including Regional Sales Manager, Brand Manager, and eventually Executive Director. Notably, he played a key role in scaling HUL’s customer development functions, launching innovative programs such as the Shakti initiative for rural women and driving digital transformation across traditional retail channels. His global leadership stints included spearheading Unilever’s Gulf operations and influencing customer development strategy across North Africa and the Middle East.
In his most recent role as Director of Special Projects at Nestlé’s global headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland, Tiwary led strategic transformation initiatives, positioning himself as a natural choice for the Chairman role in India.
