Kedaara Capital has announced that Nitin Paranjpe has been appointed as Chief Mentor and Operating Partner, further strengthening its leadership bench with one of the most respected names in global FMCG. With a stellar career spanning over 35 years, Nitin brings a wealth of operational expertise and transformational leadership to the table.
Nitin has spent the majority of his professional journey at Unilever, where he joined as a management trainee in 1987. He rapidly climbed the leadership ladder and was appointed CEO of Hindustan Unilever in 2008—becoming one of the youngest to ever hold the role. Under his leadership, HUL saw a remarkable transformation, with the business nearly doubling during his five-year tenure.
Following this, Nitin held several key global roles within Unilever, including President of the Homecare division and later President of the integrated Foods & Refreshment business. His ability to drive sustained growth while improving profitability stood out in every role. In 2019, he was appointed as Unilever’s Chief Operating Officer, and in his final executive role, he led the company’s transformation journey as Chief People & Transformation Officer. He continues to serve as the Non-Executive Chairman of HUL’s board.
At Kedaara, Nitin will collaborate closely with sector teams, particularly on consumer and allied investment themes. He will play an active role in shaping strategy across existing portfolio companies and upcoming investments, while also contributing to firm-level strategic initiatives.
His appointment underscores Kedaara Capital’s commitment to building enduring partnerships and creating long-term value through deep operating engagement.
