Shameel Sharma has taken on the role of Managing Director at the Marriott Tech Accelerator (MTA), the India-based Global Capability Center (GCC) of Marriott International. Based in Hyderabad, he is now at the helm of a strategic initiative designed to power the global hospitality brand’s technological and digital transformation. His appointment marks a continuation of a career defined by large-scale enterprise transformation, organizational growth, and a steadfast focus on operational excellence.
With a unique blend of frontline hospitality experience and executive leadership across global delivery centers, Shameel brings a people-first, performance-driven approach to scaling high-impact organizations. In his most recent role as a consultant at QRATER, he advised on the design and optimization of GCCs in India, helping organizations create high-performing, culturally aligned workplaces. Prior to that, as Managing Director at Dibber and interim CEO for its India schools, he led rapid capability build-outs across multiple corporate functions.
Earlier in his career, Shameel held senior leadership positions at Innova Solutions and Kantar Operations, where he drove multi-million-dollar revenue growth, transformed operations, and led thousands of professionals across verticals including IT, finance, HR, marketing, legal, and infrastructure. His experience spans both business services and customer-facing industries, bringing a rare cross-sectoral perspective to Marriott’s GCC operations.
At MTA, Shameel is expected to drive digital acceleration and business integration with a strong focus on governance, compliance, and innovation. Known for his authenticity, collaborative leadership style, and ability to scale teams and operations seamlessly, he now leads a new chapter in Marriott’s growth journey—anchored in India but with a global vision.
