Yashpal Singh Rawat Promoted to Senior Vice President and SBU Head at Fortis Healthcare

Yashpal Singh Rawat has been promoted to Senior Vice President at Fortis Healthcare, Gurugram, and currently serves as the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Head at its flagship facility, Fortis Memorial Research Institute. Having taken charge of the institute as Vice President and Facility Director in April 2024, Yashpal has demonstrated exceptional leadership in driving operational excellence and institutional growth. His promotion reflects his strong commitment to enhancing patient care, strengthening healthcare delivery systems, and advancing strategic initiatives within the organization.

Prior to joining Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, Yashpal Singh Rawat served as Facility Director at Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj, where he played a pivotal role in transforming hospital operations and improving clinical governance, operational efficiency, and patient experience. Since assuming leadership at Fortis Memorial Research Institute in 2024, he has successfully driven financial and operational performance, increasing the hospital’s average monthly top line from ₹70 crore to over ₹100 crore. His leadership is widely recognized for its focus on patient-centric initiatives, performance excellence, and strong team-building capabilities.

Yashpal Singh Rawat has also been recognized for leadership excellence by ET Healthworld and within the Fortis Healthcare network. As an administrator, he has supported significant clinical advancements, including the sickle cell disease stem-cell transplant study, where he was quoted by ANI News. Beyond his hospital leadership responsibilities, he actively mentors healthcare startups through the E-Cell initiative at IIT Bombay, contributing to innovation and entrepreneurship in the healthcare ecosystem.

Under his stewardship, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram has undertaken several community health and public awareness initiatives, including programs focused on thalassemia awareness, hypertension management, and preventive healthcare. He has also championed strategic innovation through the launch of precision medicine initiatives such as the Fortis Institute of Genomic Medicine and promoted the integration of advanced technologies in healthcare delivery, reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to clinical excellence and digital transformation.
