Krishna S B T has been appointed as Director – Central Control Capabilities (CTE) – Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Testing at Citi India, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career spanning over two decades in risk and compliance leadership. Based in Pune, he will lead horizontal monitoring and testing teams and serve as CTE Site Lead for Citi Pune, representing CTE at key leadership forums.
In his new role, Krishna S B T will focus on strengthening quality assurance frameworks, enhancing control monitoring, and ensuring robust testing capabilities across functions. His mandate includes driving operational excellence, reinforcing governance standards, and enabling a strong control environment aligned with Citi’s global risk and compliance objectives.
Prior to joining Citi India, Krishna S B T spent over a decade at Wells Fargo, where he held multiple senior leadership roles, including Controls Management Director & Executive Director. During his tenure, he built and led large-scale global teams across India, the Philippines, and the United States, overseeing control evaluations, assurance testing, and financial crimes risk management. He also spearheaded transformation initiatives, established key risk and performance indicators, and drove a culture of strong governance and compliance across business functions.
His earlier experience includes leadership roles at Wipro BPS, ANZ, ING Life Insurance, and HSBC, where he developed deep expertise in operational risk management, financial crimes risk, compliance frameworks, and business continuity planning. Across these roles, he has consistently demonstrated the ability to build high-performing teams, implement enterprise-wide risk programs, and manage complex regulatory environments.
