Arijit Basu Appointed Director – Revenue & Partnership at Billboard India

Arijit Basu has been appointed as Director – Revenue & Partnership at Billboard India, where he will play a key role as part of the leadership team in driving strategic revenue initiatives, forging transformative partnerships, and unlocking new commercial opportunities across the Indian and global music ecosystem. In his new role, he will also collaborate closely with Billboard’s global teams to create impactful experiences in markets with a strong Indian diaspora, further strengthening the brand’s global footprint.

Prior to this appointment, Arijit Basu served as Director of Sales – BFSI, Media & Entertainment at Spotify, where he led a high-performing team and delivered 100% year-on-year revenue growth. He also built strong partnerships with leading BFSI and entertainment brands while pioneering new verticals and enhancing operational efficiency through data-driven strategies.

Earlier, he was Vice President – Growth & Strategy at BC Web Wise, where he led cross-functional teams and secured key accounts including Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Reliance, BharatPe, HDFC Home Loans, Jio-Cinema, Zee5, and Sony Music. He played a key role in driving sustained revenue expansion and strengthening client relationships.

Arijit Basu also served as Head of Business Development at Arré (U Digital Content Pvt Ltd), where he collaborated with influencers and celebrities such as Ayushmann Khurrana and Sunil Chhetri. He held leadership roles at Viacom18 Media Private Limited as Director – Head of Sponsorship – West and Sr Manager Vh1 India, where he drove sponsorship revenue and conceptualized marquee events like Vh1 Supersonic and MTV Video Music Awards.

He began his career with roles at Percept D Mark (A Division of Percept Limited), where he handled Sunburn Music Festival sales, followed by positions at Disney+ Hotstar as Sr. Executive managing key accounts and business development, and Paprika Media Pvt Ltd (Timeout Magazine) in business development.

With a strong foundation across media, entertainment, and digital ecosystems, Arijit Basu brings deep expertise in revenue strategy, partnerships, and business growth to his new role at Billboard India.
