Piyush Thakkar has been appointed as Director – Investments at Arnya Real Estate Fund Advisors, strengthening the firm’s leadership team as it continues to scale its real estate investment platform across India. A seasoned finance professional with over two decades of experience across real estate credit, structured finance, investment advisory, and risk management, he brings deep expertise in structuring asset-backed investments with a strong focus on capital preservation and risk-adjusted returns.
Prior to joining Arnya Real Estate Fund Advisors, Piyush was associated with Ionic Wealth as Fund Manager – Angel One Assets and was also a Founding Member, where he led structured credit investment strategies across multiple sectors. Earlier, he spent over two decades with Kotak Mahindra Bank and its group entities including Kotak Mahindra Investment Limited and Kotak Investment Advisors Ltd, holding leadership roles across commercial real estate, credit risk, structured finance, product advisory, and investment management.
Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with developers, institutional investors, and high-net-worth clients, building strong expertise in commercial real estate financing, special situations investing, structured lending, and portfolio risk management. His experience spans relationship management, credit administration, internal controls, wealth advisory, and fund management across key real estate and alternative investment platforms.
In his new role at Arnya Real Estate Fund Advisors, Piyush Thakkar will play a key role in strengthening the firm’s investment capabilities, identifying high-quality investment opportunities, and driving long-term value creation across the real estate investment ecosystem.
