Dr. Shreyas Srivatsan has been appointed as Vice President and Global Head of Business Excellence at Tata Technologies. Bringing nearly two decades of experience in business management, operational excellence, quality frameworks, business strategy, data and business analytics and organizational transformation, he will lead the company’s organizational excellence agenda, supporting continuous improvement, performance enhancement augmenting excellence and innovation culture across global operations.
A Mechanical Engineer by training, Dr. Shreyas holds a PGDM from AIMA, New Delhi and Christ University, Bengaluru, along with advanced qualifications in Data and Business Analytics from IIIT Bangalore and Harvard Business School. He has also earned a PhD in Business Management and a Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.), with his doctoral research receiving an Award of Excellence. He is Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence by American Society of Quality. Over the course of his career, he has developed deep expertise in business excellence, quality management, operational transformation, data-driven decision-making, and enterprise performance improvement.
Prior to joining Tata Technologies, Dr. Shreyas held business management and business excellence leadership roles across several Tata Group companies, including Tata Business Excellence Group, A Division of Tata Sons, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), and Tata Motors. As a Gold-Certified Assessor, he has contributed to Tata Group’s flagship assessment and capability development programs based on Tata Business Excellence Model based on Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award Model for Business Excellence, Data and Analytics Target Operating Model for Data Excellence, Tata Safety and Health Management System for Safety Excellence, across multiple Tata Group organizations, helping drive operational excellence and organizational capability building.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Dr. Shreyas is an accomplished author, researcher, and thought leader. He has published three bestselling books and multiple award-winning case studies, earning recognition from institutions including AIMA – India Case Research Centre and the Asian Network for Quality. His contributions have also been recognized through numerous academic, industry, and national honors, including the Pride of India Award, Bharatiya Udyog Ratna Award, and Rabindra Ratna Puraskar. He has his citations in India Book of Records and Guiness World Records. Inspired by Shri Jamsetji Tata whose had said In a free enterprise, the community is not just another stakeholder in business but is in fact the very purpose of its existence, he extensively engages in volunteering activity and he is an active blood donor. his poetic dedication to Shree Jamsetji Tata has earned him a personal letter from Late Shri Ratan Tata, His 21 poetic collections has been awarded 21st Century Emily Dickenson Award.
