Ankoor B Sarkar has been appointed as Global Sales Director at ACST GmbH, marking a significant leadership milestone as the company accelerates its global expansion across the rapidly evolving mm-Wave, sub-mm Wave, and Terahertz (THz) technology ecosystem.
In this strategic role, he will spearhead worldwide sales, business development, strategic partnerships, ecosystem expansion, and geo-growth initiatives across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. Reporting directly to the CEO, he will play a key role in strengthening ACST’s global market presence and accelerating customer adoption across advanced applications including Radio Astronomy, Atmospheric Sensing, Spectroscopy, Aerospace & Defense, Security Screening, Scientific Instrumentation, Materials Characterization, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and next-generation wireless communications.
Ankoor brings more than 33 years of global leadership experience spanning B2B, B2OEM, B2EMS, and B2C markets. Prior to joining ACST GmbH, he served as Regional Director – Europe, Canada, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa at Hitachi Kokusai Electric Comark LLC. Earlier, he held leadership positions at OWC APAC Pte Ltd as Managing Director – Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa and Member of the Board of Directors, where he played a pivotal role in driving regional growth, strategic expansion, and business transformation initiatives across international markets.
Before OWC APAC, Ankoor served as Director – Sales at Sanmina, leading business development across Asia Pacific, South & South East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, and Central Europe. He also held the position of Sales Director – Asia Pacific South at OCZ Storage Solutions, a Toshiba Group Company, where he drove market expansion and customer growth across South Asia.
His leadership journey further includes serving as Vice President – Sales & Distribution at MapmyIndia, Country Sales Manager – India at ViewSonic, Business Manager – East at Olivetti, and Sales Officer at Essae-Teraoka Limited, where he built a strong foundation in sales leadership, channel development, export business, and market expansion.
Throughout his distinguished career, Ankoor has successfully built high-performance multicultural teams, managed P&L and ROCE objectives, developed scalable global business ecosystems, and delivered sustainable revenue growth across diverse technology sectors.
