Varun Lohia has been elevated to Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) at Allied Blenders & Distillers Ltd., marking a significant milestone in his distinguished leadership journey across procurement, supply chain, strategic sourcing, and operational excellence. In his expanded role, he will lead Procurement & Supply Chain for one of India’s leading alco-beverage companies, managing a ₹30+ billion cost base across 35 manufacturing locations while driving cost optimization, supply network efficiency, supplier partnerships, procurement transformation, sustainability initiatives,
and EBITDA growth. His elevation reflects the organization’s confidence in his strategic vision and long-standing contribution to building a resilient and future-ready supply chain ecosystem.
Prior to his elevation, Varun served as Head – Supply Chain & Procurement at Allied Blenders & Distillers Ltd., where he led the company’s integrated procurement and supply chain function for over a decade, driving strategic sourcing, planning, logistics, supplier development, new product launches, and business continuity across a complex manufacturing network. Earlier, as Controller – Procurement & Supply Chain, he played a key role in strengthening procurement and supply chain operations through value engineering, transportation optimization, risk management, vendor partnerships, and long-term sourcing strategies.
Prior to joining Allied Blenders & Distillers Ltd., Lohia held leadership positions at United Breweries Ltd., Honda Logistics India Ltd., SABMiller, and Honda Cars India Ltd., where he built extensive expertise across procurement, logistics, global sourcing, supplier relationship management, strategic negotiations, reverse logistics, inventory optimization, supply chain excellence and manufacturing supply chain operations.
With nearly three decades of industry experience, Lohia has established a strong track record of delivering operational excellence, cost leadership, and supply chain transformation and delivered business value through innovation, cost optimization, and high-performing supply chain networks. His elevation to Chief Procurement Officer marks another significant milestone in his career and is expected to further strengthen Allied Blenders & Distillers Ltd.’s procurement capabilities, procurement excellence, operational agility, and long-term sustainable growth strategy.
