Rajeesh Rajagopalan has been appointed as National Head – Liabilities & Digital Banking at Indbank Global Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Indian Bank Ltd. In this strategic leadership role, he will lead the organisation’s digital-first banking and liabilities growth agenda, with a focus on scaling CASA, deposits, customer acquisition, digital platforms, partnerships, and embedded finance ecosystems.
His new mandate will involve building a high-growth, technology-enabled liability franchise through mobile and web-based banking platforms, seamless digital onboarding, AI-led customer journeys, analytics, automation, and fintech collaborations. He will also drive the growth of savings and current accounts, term deposits, digital acquisition funnels, customer lifecycle strategies, strategic partnerships, Banking-as-a-Service initiatives, and data-driven performance management while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and digital risk controls.
Prior to this appointment, Rajeesh held senior leadership roles at Karur Vysya Bank, including Head – Sales Channel – Retail Liabilities and Zonal Manager – Retail Liabilities. He also served as Zonal Head – Emerging Corporate Acquisition – South at IndusInd Bank. His extensive journey at Axis Bank saw him take on several leadership responsibilities, including Circle Head – Sales, Assistant Vice President & Circle Sales Head, Branch Head, Regional FAS Head, Cluster Manager FAS, and Relationship Manager – FAS.
Earlier in his career, Rajeesh gained valuable banking and business leadership experience with Centurion Bank Ltd, IDBI Bank, and HDFC Bank. With a career spanning liabilities, retail banking, corporate acquisition, sales leadership, relationship management, and digital transformation, he brings a strong combination of banking expertise and growth-focused leadership to his new role at Indbank Global Support Services Limited.
