Priyadarshi (Darshi) Bhattacharya has been appointed as Managing Director, Global Head HR – Group Technology & Transformation, & APAC Countries at Swiss Re, taking on an expanded HR leadership mandate across the organisation. He will continue to lead the HR agenda for Swiss Re’s Digital&Technology organisation and Group Strategy& Transformation, alongside HR leadership responsibilities across the company’s Asia Pacific markets. His expanded portfolio brings together global responsibility for two areas central to Swiss Re’s transformation agenda with leadership across some of its most diverse and strategically important talent markets.
In his expanded role, Priyadarshi will focus on ensuring that organisational capabilities and leadership evolve alongside the changing business and technology landscape. His mandate will include strengthening talent and succession across Asia Pacific while working closely with C-suite and executive leadership teams to align people strategy with business priorities. He will also contribute to organisational effectiveness and leadership development as Swiss Re continues to navigate evolving technology, business, and talent requirements.
Priyadarshi brings over two decades of leadership experience, primarily across financial services, technology, and transformation. He began his career in the Indian Army before transitioning into HR, where he developed extensive experience partnering with senior leadership on large-scale transformation, organisational effectiveness, leadership, and talent. His career has been shaped by a strong focus on connecting people strategy with business transformation and evolving organisational needs.
With his combination of global HR leadership experience, transformation expertise, and deep understanding of leadership and talent, Priyadarshi Bhattacharya brings a broad strategic perspective to his expanded mandate at Swiss Re. His leadership will support the organisation’s continued focus on building organisational capabilities, strengthening leadership pipelines, and aligning talent with the evolving business and technology landscape across its global and Asia Pacific operations
