Sharad Sawant has been appointed as Associate Director – MEP at Grüne Designs Private Limited, bringing 22 years of experience across MEP design, engineering, project management, and project execution across India, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. With a strong combination of design and construction expertise, he has worked extensively across real estate, healthcare, data centres, commercial, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use developments. His international construction exposure includes significant MEPF experience in Dubai and the UAE, complemented by a strong portfolio across PAN India.
Prior to Grüne Designs, Sharad served as MEP Lead – Principal at Buro Happold and MEP Project Manager at Urja Building Services Consultants, contributing to projects including Lodha Alibaug Mixed-Use Development, Dwarka Resort, and a 150,000 sq. ft. data centre. He also served as Head of MEP Design & Execution at Pursue Superiority & Innovations Architectural Engineering Consultants (PSI), Dubai, where he worked on residential and commercial developments in the UAE. His international experience further includes leadership roles with Almoayyed Contracting Group, Al Shafar Group, and Chawla Architecture & Engineering Consultant in Dubai, where he contributed to major hospitality, healthcare, residential, and commercial developments.
Sharad’s international project portfolio includes 550 Villas at Akoya Park, Dubai; Burj Pacific Residential Tower at Business Bay; Burj Dubai Residences, Phase 2 for EMAAR Properties; Stadium Point Mixed-Use Building at Dubai Sports City; Ajmal Residential & Commercial Building; and multiple residential towers across Dubai Sports City. His Dubai experience also includes the Ministry of Health & Emiratization Office Building, a 3.9 million sq. ft. mixed-use development, as well as the Five-Star Hotel & Hotel Apartment and Emirates Hospital in Jumeirah 2, Dubai. His India portfolio includes major developments such as Lodha Worli Sea Face, Lodha Bradbury Mills, Prestige BKC, CSMIA Terminal 2 Extension, Lodha Alibaug, and Phoenix Coimbatore.
Earlier in his career, Sharad began with Owens Corning India Ltd. as Operation Engineer – Utility & Facility Management, building a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, utilities, and facility management. A Certified PMP and member of ASHRAE, ISHRAE, and the Society of Engineers, UAE, he holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science, and an MTech in Thermal Engineering, along with pursuing an MBA in Project Management. With deep international and multidisciplinary MEP experience, Sharad continues to lead client management and design strategy while driving engineering excellence, efficiency, and seamless project delivery.
