Abhishek Garg has taken on the role of Director of Operations at Micron Technology, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished two-decade career in business and manufacturing operations. Based in Ahmedabad, he now leads key operational strategies, organizational governance, and end-to-end manufacturing excellence for the company’s rapidly expanding India footprint. His deep expertise across P&L ownership, operational efficiency, and large-scale manufacturing positions him as a transformative addition to Micron Technology’s leadership.
Before joining Micron Technology, Abhishek served as AVP at Adani Solar, where he led manufacturing operations across 4 GW solar cell plants, including Topcon and PERC technologies. He was responsible for driving quality, yield, process adherence, and cost optimization while managing a workforce of over 1,200 personnel. His leadership played a pivotal role in enhancing production efficiency, strengthening operational governance, and enabling sustainable growth across the solar manufacturing ecosystem.
Prior to Adani Solar, Abhishek worked as Director of Operations at Mara Phones in Rwanda, where he oversaw large-scale electronics manufacturing, built operational capabilities, and strengthened the company’s regional supply chain competitiveness. His earlier leadership roles at Dixon Technologies, Intex Technologies, and Beetel Teletech established him as a strategic thinker with a strong track record in business expansion, cost restructuring, quality assurance, and operational turnaround. Across these roles, he consistently delivered improvements in revenue, margins, and operational performance.
Abhishek’s foundational experience was shaped through impactful engineering and quality leadership positions at Samsung India Electronics, HT Media, and Moser Baer India. From developing quality strategies aligned with ISO standards to leading cross-functional audits, driving new product quality, and managing supplier systems, he built a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end manufacturing ecosystems. This technical grounding continues to inform his strategic approach to operations leadership.
