Ssiddharth Rana has stepped into the role of Head of Business Development (O&M) at Mahindra Teqo, bringing with him over a decade of diverse experience across business development, sustainability, ESG strategy, international operations, and large-scale solar project management. A result-oriented professional and part of the prestigious Mahindra Accelerated Leadership Track (MALT) Batch of 2025, Ssiddharth has built a reputation for driving high-impact initiatives, forging strong stakeholder relationships, and enabling sustainable business growth rooted in technical and operational excellence.
Before assuming this position, Ssiddharth spent more than ten years at Mahindra Susten, where he progressed through pivotal roles that shaped the organization’s sustainability and brand-building roadmap. As Lead – Environment & Sustainability and previously Lead – Brand Building & Sustainability, he played a major role in advancing carbon neutrality initiatives, implementing planet-positive strategies, managing ESG risks, and coordinating key global sustainability frameworks such as SBTi, CDP reporting, Sustainalytics, and BRSR. His work also included crafting external communications that reinforced Mahindra Susten’s industry positioning and ESG narrative.
Ssiddharth’s experience extends beyond India, having served as Country Manager for Bangladesh, where he built a new business vertical worth USD 7 million, established local teams and compliance frameworks, and delivered landmark solar projects including one of Bangladesh’s largest 3.2 MWp rooftop installations. He also drove major wins for Engineering & PMC services, contributing to projects like the 135 MWdc Solar Power Project for Orion Group and introducing innovative technologies such as helical piles in the region.
Earlier in his tenure at Mahindra Susten, he successfully led utility-scale solar project execution as Project Manager, overseeing more than 700 MW of installations across multiple sites in India. His strong grounding in project planning, resource management, safety, and budget control allowed him to deliver high-value projects for clients such as SB Energy, Renew, HFEL, ACWA, and Tractebel. Prior to joining the Mahindra Group, Ssiddharth worked with DBM Geotechnics & Constructions and Gammon India, where he managed large infrastructure assignments, including port development and major civil engineering projects, refining his capabilities in planning, contracts, and execution.
With an educational foundation from NIT Jamshedpur and XLRI Jamshedpur, Ssiddharth Rana steps into his new role with a proven ability to blend engineering depth, business acumen, and sustainability-focused leadership. His career reflects a consistent drive to scale renewable energy initiatives, expand international footprints, and lead high-performing teams toward impactful, future-ready outcomes.
