Before her current role, Aparna served as Head – Claims at Ace Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., managing commercial lines claims across marine hull, cargo, property, engineering, and employee-related insurance. She also worked as a Commercial Underwriter at Universal Sompo General Insurance Co. Ltd., handling marine, liability, and miscellaneous underwriting, and as Insurance Manager at Varun Shipping Co. Ltd., overseeing fleet insurance, hull claims, offshore risks, and coordination with underwriters and P&I Clubs.
Her earlier experience includes roles at Great Offshore Ltd. as Assistant Manager, Reliance General Insurance Co. Ltd. as Manager – Underwriting, and Tata AIG General Insurance Co. Ltd. as Claims Executive. At Reliance, she contributed to marine cargo underwriting guidelines, risk assessment processes, and the introduction of a Sales Turnover Policy.
