Richa Dagar has taken on the role of Sr. Director – People at Walmart Global Tech India (IDC), marking a strategic leadership addition to the company’s mission of building a strong, innovative, and inclusive workplace culture. With a distinguished career spanning nearly two decades in human resources, talent strategy, organizational experience, and leadership development, Richa brings deep expertise in shaping people-centric ecosystems within world-class technology organizations.
Before joining Walmart IDC, Richa held a series of progressive HR leadership roles at Microsoft over a remarkable 13+ year tenure. Most recently, she served as HR Director for the India Development Centre, where she played a pivotal role in driving business-aligned workforce strategies, enhancing talent engagement, and supporting organizational transformation. Her influence extended across multiple business verticals, contributing to Microsoft’s continued success in building high-performing teams in India.
Earlier at Microsoft, she led HR for Microsoft Research and Microsoft Consulting Services as Senior Human Resources Manager. Prior to that, she served as HR Manager for the Global Technical Support Centre, fostering talent development, performance capability, and an empowering workplace environment for engineering and technical support teams. Across these roles, Richa developed a reputation for strong stakeholder partnership, cultural intelligence, and impactful HR execution.
Before her Microsoft journey, Richa worked at UnitedHealth Group as Senior Manager – Recruitment (Technology & Shared Services), where she spearheaded technology hiring, leadership recruitment, and scale-up initiatives.
In her new role at Walmart IDC, Richa will be instrumental in driving the company’s people strategy, accelerating capability growth, nurturing leadership pipelines, and fostering cultural alignment within Walmart’s rapidly evolving tech organization.
