Dr. Dhanashree Bhelose steps into her new role as Partner & Technical Director at Enviro Remediation & Research Laboratory (ERRL), bringing deep expertise in biosciences, biodegradability and compostability testing, product end-of-life management, environmental diagnostics, and scientific research leadership. With a career marked by innovation and analytical rigor, she joins ERRL with a mission to further elevate the organization’s technical capabilities, sustainability research, and scientific excellence.
Prior to ERRL, Dr. Bhelose served in multiple high-impact roles at Intertek over a span of nine years, culminating as Head of Biosciences. In this leadership role, she managed a multi-million-dollar portfolio, drove product innovation, steered cross-functional strategic initiatives, and contributed to business sustainability and process optimization. Her achievements include establishing Intertek’s first biodegradability, compostability and toxicity testing facility globally, increasing market share by 60%, and securing global accreditations including ISO/IEC 17025:2017, BPI, and BIS. Her tenure highlights her ability to lead technical programs, enhance analytical capabilities, foster customer engagement, and drive strategic commercial growth.
Before her career at Intertek, Dr. Bhelose played a crucial role at Enviro Analysts & Engineers Pvt. Ltd, where she successfully managed laboratory operations as Deputy Manager (HOD). Her leadership there involved overseeing government audits and accreditations under MOEF and NABET guidelines, managing financial planning for lab operations, and introducing new analytical methods across environmental testing matrices. Notably, she led a strategic turnaround of an underperforming function, achieving a remarkable 25% revenue growth in just six months – demonstrating her skill in combining scientific proficiency with business-focused decision-making.
Dr. Bhelose’s scientific impact is reinforced by her published research and intellectual contributions in microbiology, biodegradation science, waste treatment, polymer sustainability, and nanotechnology-enabled purification systems. Several of her publications and patents underscore her contributions to product lifecycle assessment and sustainable material design.
