Swappnna Varun has joined Waterfield Advisors as Director – Human Resources, further strengthening the company’s people leadership team. With a rich and diverse career spanning nearly two decades, Swappnna brings a deep understanding of talent strategy, organizational design, and inclusive leadership.
In her new role, she will be responsible for leading HR initiatives that align with Waterfield’s strategic goals and values. Her mandate includes driving leadership development, talent acquisition, employee experience, and building a culture that supports both high performance and well-being. Known for her ability to design scalable people frameworks, Swappnna will also play a key role in supporting the company’s growth journey.
Before joining Waterfield Advisors, Swappnna led special projects in talent acquisition at Jio Financial Services, where she played a pivotal role in setting up the talent architecture for JioBlackRock. She previously served as Vice President and Head of Programmatic (Campus) Recruitment for APAC at Barclays, while also managing talent acquisition leadership for BI India. Her earlier leadership roles include Country Head – HR at TechnoServe, AVP – Hiring at Deutsche Bank, and HR Business Manager at RBS.
Over the years, she has held key talent acquisition and HR leadership roles across renowned institutions including Edelweiss, AMSEC, HDFC Securities, and Lehman Brothers, gaining expertise in both financial services and mission-driven organizations.
