Amitesh Shah appointed Chief Executive Officer – Mumbai Zone at Godrej Properties Ltd.

Amitesh Shah has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer – Mumbai Zone at Godrej Properties Ltd, taking on a pivotal leadership role within one of India’s leading real estate developers. With over 15 years of experience in the sector, Amitesh brings deep domain expertise in P&L management, land acquisition, redevelopment, and full-cycle project execution. In his new role, he will oversee more than 25 projects across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), collectively representing an estimated inventory value of over $5 billion, and will lead a team of 1000+ professionals.

Prior to this appointment, Amitesh served as the Region Head – MMR1 at Godrej Properties, where he played a crucial role in transforming the region’s business performance. During his tenure, the region scaled from three to over twelve projects and delivered a tenfold increase in pre-sales—from ₹500 crore in FY’18 to ₹5000+ crore in FY’25. His leadership was instrumental in unlocking ₹30,000+ crore worth of potential sales inventory and managing assets worth more than $3 billion across Mumbai and its suburbs.

Amitesh began his professional journey at HCL Technologies and later held key roles at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and the Unitech-Omkar JV, where he led business development efforts in Mumbai’s redevelopment and land acquisition space. Since joining Godrej Properties in 2011, he has steadily climbed the leadership ladder, contributing significantly across roles from business development to regional P&L leadership.

An alumnus of IIM Lucknow, Amitesh is also a core member of the Leadership Forum at Godrej Industries Group and serves on the Management Committee of Godrej Properties Ltd. With a sharp strategic mindset and a track record of delivering high-impact outcomes, his appointment is set to further strengthen the company’s leadership in the MMR real estate market.
