Dr. Jayant Karajgi has been elevated to Chief Executive Officer of FTF Pharma, Ahmedabad, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shilpa Medicare Ltd. This elevation marks a significant milestone in his distinguished career and reflects his long-standing contributions to the pharmaceutical industry. In his new role, he will lead FTF Pharma’s strategic direction, focusing on driving innovation, strengthening operational capabilities, and accelerating growth across the organization.
Dr. Karajgi brings over thirty-three years of extensive experience in the pharmaceutical sector, including nearly two decades in top leadership roles such as President, Chief Scientific Officer, and Chief Operating Officer at reputed organizations. A pharmacist by training, he holds a postgraduate degree and a Doctorate in Drug Delivery Systems from the University of Saugar, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, and is a University Gold Medallist in both B. Pharm and M.Pharm. His strong academic foundation complements his deep industry expertise.
Prior to this elevation, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Shilpa Medicare Ltd., Hyderabad, where he led the formulations division and played a pivotal role in driving
operational excellence and strategic growth. Over the years, he has built a distinguished career spanning product development, research and development leadership, and executive management. His experience includes key leadership roles at Rubicon Research Pvt. Ltd. as Chief Operating Officer, Wockhardt Ltd. as Chief Scientific Officer, and Aurobindo Pharma as President.
Having begun his career as a Product Development Scientist, Dr. Karajgi has steadily progressed through critical leadership roles including Head of R&D, CSO, COO, and now CEO. He brings a rare blend of technical acumen, cross-functional expertise, and business leadership. His extensive experience across regulatory affairs, quality management, and laboratory operations further strengthens his ability to lead FTF Pharma into its next phase of growth and innovation.
