Shuvadeep Samanta has been appointed as General Manager – Head Business Development (MFPD) at Murugappa Group, where he will lead and manage the Business Development organization for the Automotive segment. Murugappa Group, a USD 10 billion conglomerate, has a diversified portfolio including Cholamandalam, Crompton Greaves, Parrys Agro, Coromandel, CUMI, Hercules, BSA, and Tube Investments (TI). In his new role, Shuvadeep will focus on driving strategic growth, strengthening market presence, and expanding business opportunities within the automotive division.
Prior to joining Murugappa Group, he was associated with IFB Industries Ltd., where he served as Marketing Head – 4 Wheeler Division and earlier as North India Marketing Head. In these roles, he was responsible for strategy formulation, new business development, key account management, inorganic growth initiatives, and international business expansion, playing a crucial role in driving segment growth.
Earlier, he worked with Spark Minda as Senior Marketing Manager, where he led the marketing function and project management for connecting systems, including
connectors, couplers, terminals, and fuse boxes, while supporting rapid product development initiatives. Before that, he spent over a decade at Anand Group India as Senior Marketing Manager, where he handled RFQ management, pricing strategies, customer engagement, market analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and internal coordination across multiple functions, consistently delivering strong business outcomes.
He began his career with Evalueserve as a Business Analyst, where he conducted extensive market research, competitive analysis, and industry studies for global clients, contributing to high-impact projects across automotive and FMCG sectors. With a strong foundation across research, marketing, and strategic business development, Shuvadeep brings a well-rounded perspective to his new role at Murugappa Group.
