Shashie brings over two decades of leadership experience in developing and operating large destination retail-led mixed-use commercial real estate across India. An accomplished retail marketplace leader, he has deep expertise across the entire lifecycle of large shopping centres — from concept development and feasibility to design, construction, leasing, and long-term operations.
Prior to joining SPR India, Shashie served as President – Retail at The Phoenix Mills Ltd., where across two tenures spanning more than 11 years, he oversaw 10+ million sq. ft. of retail space across India. His leadership covered operations, leasing, marketing, sales, and customer experience across one of the country’s most prominent retail portfolios. He has also closely worked with private equity retail asset platforms and international sovereign funds.
Among his notable contributions is leading India’s first omnichannel digital platform for shopping centres, designed to seamlessly integrate physical and digital retail experiences. He has also collaborated extensively with global brands, contributing to the growth of India’s luxury retail ecosystem and helping position Indian retail destinations at international standards.
