Subrata Roy has been appointed as Chief Executive at Isgec Heavy Engineering Ltd., taking charge of the Air Pollution Control and Utility Boiler Business. In this strategic, technology-led leadership role, he will be responsible for driving profitable growth and expanding the company’s capabilities in critical industrial segments. Subrata brings over three decades of leadership experience across some of the most respected names in the EPC and infrastructure sector. Prior to joining Isgec, he served as CEO – South Asia at Essar Constructions (India) Limited. He has also held several senior leadership roles at Tata Projects, including Executive Vice President and SBU Head – Power & Metals, where he led complex, large-scale projects and P&L mandates. His prior stints include key roles at Lanco Infratech, GMR (Delhi International Airport Ltd.), Reliance Energy, and L&T Power.
Throughout his career, Subrata has built a strong reputation for delivering results across high-value, capital-intensive projects, managing operations across geographies, and leading large teams through periods of strategic growth and transformation. His hands-on leadership and technical expertise are expected to bring a fresh perspective to Isgec’s technology-driven initiatives in the utility and pollution control sectors.
He has further enhanced his leadership acumen through executive education certifications from leading global institutions, including the Advanced Leadership Development Program at IIM Calcutta and the Tata Group Strategic Leadership Seminar at Harvard University. These programs have equipped him with modern strategic frameworks and cross-functional insights to lead in evolving industry landscapes.
