Kumar Iyer has been appointed as Chief Business Officer – Automotive & Specialty Coatings at JSW Dulux Limited, marking a strategic leadership move as the company strengthens its position in India’s liquid paints and coatings market. His appointment reflects a new phase of collaboration that combines the global legacy of Dulux with the growing ambitions of JSW Paints, with focus on sustainability and long-term shareholder value creation.
In his role, Kumar will lead the Automotive and Specialty Coatings business, driving growth by leveraging synergies between AkzoNobel’s advanced technologies and JSW Paints’ strong domestic market presence. He will focus on accelerating innovation, expanding market reach, and building a robust, future-ready coatings business aligned with evolving industry needs.
Prior to this, Kumar served as Regional Commercial Director at Akzo Nobel for SESA regio, where he was responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and strategic direction across automotive, vehicle refinish, and specialty coatings segments. His leadership played a key role in strengthening regional performance and enhancing customer-centric solutions.
He has also held senior leadership roles at Pidilite, Covestro, DuPont where he led large-scale commercial operations across India, Southeast Asia, and other international markets. Across these roles, he has built deep expertise in business strategy, market expansion, and capability building within the coatings, adhesives, and specialty materials space.
With a career spanning nearly three decades, Kumar brings a wealth of experience across coating segments, product development, and commercial leadership. His appointment is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening JSW Dulux’s position in the automotive and specialty coatings segment, while driving sustainable growth and innovation in the Indian market.
