Nitin Chawla has been appointed Senior Director of Product Management at Qualcomm, marking a significant progression in his nearly two-decade-long association with the global semiconductor leader. In his new role, he will drive product strategy and execution across key connectivity and telematics portfolios, supporting Qualcomm’s continued innovation in 4G, 5G, and next-generation mobility solutions.
With over 18 years of experience spanning product management, product marketing, business development, sales, and engineering, Nitin brings a rare blend of technical depth and commercial acumen. Prior to this elevation, he served as Director of Product Management, where he led telematics 4G and 5G connectivity solutions and spearheaded product management for Qualcomm’s global two-wheeler business. His work played a critical role in advancing connected mobility offerings for OEMs and ecosystem partners worldwide.
Earlier at Qualcomm, Nitin held leadership roles in Product Marketing, managing a diverse portfolio across mobile, IoT, industrial IoT, NB-IoT, Wi-Fi, small cells, wearables, and consumer connectivity solutions in India. He was instrumental in unlocking new business opportunities, strengthening operator and enterprise partnerships, and driving profitable growth across multiple product lines.
Before joining Qualcomm, Nitin built a strong engineering foundation through roles at Tata Consultancy Services, Idea Cellular, and Azure Technologies, working on telecom infrastructure, base station controllers, and system-level software development. His elevation to Senior Director underscores Qualcomm’s confidence in his ability to lead complex global products and shape the future of connected technologies at scale.
