Praveen Parihar has been appointed as the Chief Information Security Officer at Razorpay, where he will lead the company’s cybersecurity strategy and governance framework. With over 14 years of expertise in cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and risk management, he brings a proven track record of building robust security infrastructures for leading fintechs. Based in Bengaluru, he will play a crucial role in strengthening Razorpay’s resilience against evolving cyber threats and ensuring regulatory compliance across its diverse financial products.

Prior to joining Razorpay, Praveen served at Maya for over five years, where he contributed significantly in areas of information security compliance and fraud risk management. In his role, he designed and implemented advanced fraud detection systems, advised on regulatory requirements, and collaborated with senior management to mitigate fraud across banking and wallet ecosystems. His expertise extended to guiding anti-fraud strategies, identity and access management, credit card fraud prevention, and consumer lending security.

An entrepreneur at heart, Praveen also founded Dailycacy, a unique food-tech platform in Mumbai that combined local culinary experiences with secure digital infrastructure. His venture saw rapid growth and was successfully acquired by an angel investor, further reflecting his ability to blend technology with business innovation. Alongside, he has served as an independent principal consultant, working with critical clients across telecom, banking, and payments to drive PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and cloud security compliance initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Praveen worked with leading firms such as ControlCase, Aneja Associates, and Tata Technologies, where he honed his expertise in network security audits, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and ISMS implementation. His dynamic journey from a graduate engineer trainee to a seasoned CISO demonstrates his relentless commitment to cybersecurity excellence.
