Rahul Reddy has been appointed as Joint Director – Incubation at the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS), Government of Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant career milestone in his nearly two-decade-long journey of building and strengthening global startup ecosystems. In his new role, Rahul will focus on advancing incubation frameworks, enabling progressive policy support, and accelerating high-impact innovation initiatives across the state.
APIS, an initiative of the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society, plays a pivotal role in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation across Andhra Pradesh. At APIS, Rahul will spearhead efforts to strengthen incubation networks and drive innovation-led growth, with a key emphasis on the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, positioning it as a catalyst for next-generation startups and technology-led ventures.
A Forbes India 40 Under 40 (2024) honouree for Art & Innovation, Rahul brings a rare blend of ecosystem strategy and creative leadership. Over the years, he has worked closely with 500+ startups across DeepTech, AI, Robotics, HealthTech, and Manufacturing sectors. As Founder and CEO of Octo Spaces, he built one of India’s early co-working and incubation platforms, supporting over 150 ventures and fostering international collaborations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the USA.
Rahul’s entrepreneurial journey spans multiple ventures, including Octopus Group Inc., alongside strategic roles with brands such as Microsoft and CtrlS Datacenters. Beyond business, he is widely recognized as an art and cultural connoisseur, theatre artist, filmmaker, and green activist, with global recognition including a world record for multiple hair donations supporting cancer survivors.
