Rohit Gupta has taken on the role of Sales Director at Abbott India, a global leader in healthcare and nutrition. In his new capacity, Rohit is part of the India Leadership Team and will be responsible for driving Abbott Nutrition’s business, valued at approximately USD 250 million, across India and neighboring countries. Based in Mumbai, he will lead a large and diverse team of around 200 managers and 1,200 field professionals, with a sharp focus on profitable growth, operational excellence, and leadership development.
With nearly two decades of experience across the consumer healthcare and nutrition industries, Rohit brings deep expertise in sales leadership, business strategy, and go-to-market excellence. Prior to joining Abbott, he served as Director – Professional Sales at Kenvue (formerly Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health), where he led the sales and healthcare professional engagement functions for Self Care, Baby, and Skin Care portfolios in India. During his tenure, he was instrumental in building Kenvue’s Derma Division from scratch, successfully launching and scaling premium skincare brands like Aveeno and Neutrogena’s high-science range.
Earlier, Rohit held senior leadership roles at Cipla Health Limited, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the business from USD 50 million to USD 150 million within three years, while turning EBITA from negative to a strong positive trajectory. His career also includes significant contributions at Unilever and GSK Consumer Healthcare, where he led transformative go-to-market strategies, drove category growth, and played a key role in the integration of the GSK-HUL merger.
A graduate of the Fore School of Management, Rohit is widely recognized for his ability to build high-performing teams, inspire collaboration, and translate vision into tangible business results.
