The India New Zealand Business Council (INZBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Selwyn Thomas, Executive Director of Talent Tribe Consulting International (India–Australia–New Zealand), as the Southern India Chapter Head. This leadership appointment coincides with the official launch of the INZBC Southern India Chapter in Chennai, marking a strategic step toward strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and innovation between India and New Zealand.
Selwyn Thomas brings over three decades of international leadership experience across India, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, with deep expertise in talent strategy, organizational development, and cross-border business engagement. As Executive Director at Talent Tribe Consulting International, he has played a pivotal role in building integrated talent and consulting solutions across multiple geographies, enabling organizations to scale and adapt in dynamic business environments.
Prior to this, Thomas held key roles at ALSTOM, Crowe Horwath Australia, and Ernst & Young (ASIA Pacific). His experience spans people and capability development, HR transformation, and strategic leadership across the Asia-Pacific region, positioning him well to foster collaboration between businesses and institutions across both countries.
The newly established Southern India Chapter, based in Chennai, will serve as a key platform to accelerate economic engagement in high-growth sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, technology, and renewable energy. Positioned in one of India’s leading industrial and innovation hubs, the chapter is expected to play a vital role in connecting businesses, institutions, and government stakeholders across both nations.
In his new role, Selwyn Thomas will focus on driving partnerships, enabling knowledge exchange, and strengthening business networks across the region.
