Zishan Ansari has been appointed as Director, Risk Hub India at NatWest Group, bringing nearly two decades of experience in risk analytics and financial services.
In his new role, he will lead the Regulatory Model Risk teams across Bengaluru, Gurugram, and Chennai, with a mandate to strengthen model risk governance and further enhance the Group’s regulatory frameworks. His leadership will play a key role in advancing robust, scalable, and compliant risk practices across the organization.
Zishan has a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams within Global Capability Center (GCC) environments. He has successfully developed risk analytics capabilities from the ground up, delivering impactful solutions that support business growth and regulatory compliance. His areas of expertise include credit risk modeling, IFRS 9, stress testing, and regulatory analytics—enabling organizations to make informed, data-driven decisions.
Prior to joining NatWest Group, he served as Vice President – Regulatory Risk Analytics at HSBC, where he led critical regulatory initiatives and strengthened model development and validation frameworks. Earlier in his career, he held a leadership role at Bajaj Allianz Life, driving analytics-led transformation across risk and operations.
He began his professional journey with Marketelligent, an analytics startup incubated at the NSRCEL (at IIM Bangalore), which was later acquired by Brillio. He subsequently worked with WNS Global Services and Target, where he built a strong foundation in analytics and decision sciences.
Zishan’s appointment reflects NatWest Group’s continued focus on strengthening its global risk capabilities. His deep expertise in regulatory analytics and team leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the Group’s risk strategy and driving its growth agenda in India.
