Alok Mishra has been promoted to Head – Mechanical Field Maintenance, Steel & Mills at Tata Steel, marking a significant milestone in his 15-year career in mechanical maintenance and steel manufacturing. In his expanded leadership role, he brings extensive expertise in the maintenance of Hot Rolling Mills as well as projects across Hot and Cold Rolling Mills, contributing to operational reliability, engineering excellence, and manufacturing performance.
Alok has built a strong career with Tata Steel, where he has progressed through a series of leadership roles including Assistant Manager, Manager, Senior Manager, and Senior Area Manager before taking on his current responsibility as Head – Field Maintenance Steel & Mills. His extensive tenure with the organization reflects a consistent focus on plant maintenance, operational execution, engineering capabilities, and the performance of critical steel manufacturing assets.
Prior to joining Tata Steel, Alok was associated with JSW Steel Ltd as Junior Manager. This early experience in the steel industry provided him with a strong foundation in manufacturing operations and mechanical maintenance, subsequently enabling him to develop deeper expertise across rolling mill maintenance and project execution during his career at Tata Steel.
With a career spanning leading steel organizations and extensive exposure to Hot Rolling Mill maintenance and Hot & Cold Rolling Mill projects, Alok brings a strong combination of technical depth, operational experience, and execution-focused leadership to his new role. His elevation further strengthens Tata Steel’s focus on maintenance excellence, reliability, and efficient steel manufacturing operations.
