Ranjana Maitra has been appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Transrail Lighting Limited, bringing over three decades of global leadership experience spanning international education, healthcare, life sciences, digital transformation, strategic partnerships, business growth and institutional development.
Currently serving as Country Head – International Relations & Strategic Partnerships at the University of New Haven, Ranjana leads international expansion, cross-border partnerships and strategic stakeholder engagement across academia, government and industry. She has previously served in senior international leadership roles, driving market expansion, institutional partnerships, international student enrolment and global education initiatives.
Her extensive corporate career includes senior leadership positions at Wipro Limited, where she served as Global Head – Life Sciences & General Manager – Digital Operations & Platforms, Global Head – Presales & Solutions, COO – Wipro Healthcare IT, Practice Head – Provider (Global) Health Science and Practice Head – Healthcare Vertical. She led global healthcare and life sciences businesses with responsibility for P&L, digital transformation, strategic partnerships, market expansion and multi-continent delivery ecosystems.
Earlier, Ranjana spent over a decade with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in healthcare and insurance sales and business development leadership roles, working across enterprise solutions, ERP implementations, hospital management systems, insurance platforms and market development.
Beyond her corporate and academic leadership, Ranjana is Chairperson – CII Indian Women Network (Western Region) and Chair – Education & Innovation, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Western India Council. She is also associated with several advisory and leadership initiatives, including the University of New Haven, UNI Network Group, IIM Mumbai’s Women’s Leadership Accelerator Program, South Asia International Education Network, FORTESS and the British Business Group – Mumbai.
She holds an MBA in Marketing & International Business from the University of New Haven and brings to the Board a strong combination of global business experience, strategic partnerships, digital and healthcare expertise, institutional leadership, and a deep commitment to women’s leadership and effective corporate governance.
Her appointment adds significant expertise in global business, international partnerships, healthcare and life sciences, digital transformation and institutional growth to the Board of Transrail Lighting Limited.
