Amir Masood Elevated to Associate Director at PayU

Amir Masood has been elevated to Associate Director at PayU, where he will lead the Government & Education Business in partnership with PSU and private sector banks across India. Having spent over four years with the organization, he has played a significant role in strengthening critical business verticals, including Enterprise Business and Corporate Strategy. In his expanded leadership role, Amir will focus on accelerating digital payment adoption across the government and education ecosystem while supporting India’s Digital India vision through PayU’s fintech capabilities.

During his journey at PayU, Amir progressed through the roles of Corporate Strategy Specialist, Senior Manager – Corporate Strategy, and Regional Head, consistently contributing to strategic growth, enterprise business expansion, and market development. His experience across strategy, business transformation, partnerships, and fintech innovation has helped strengthen PayU’s position across key enterprise and institutional segments. His elevation reflects the organization’s confidence in his leadership and strategic vision for driving the Government & Education business nationwide.

Prior to joining PayU, Amir served as Area Head at HDFC Bank, where he built strong expertise in banking, leadership, channel management, business portfolio

management, team development, and customer engagement. Earlier, he worked as Senior Territory Sales Manager at Vodafone India and Territory Sales Manager at Reliance Communications, building a solid foundation in telecom sales, distribution management, customer acquisition, and market expansion. He also began his professional journey as a Summer Intern at Yash Papers Limited, where he worked on a customer satisfaction project involving dealer engagement across multiple states.

With professional experience spanning telecom, banking, and fintech, Amir Masood brings a well-rounded perspective on business growth, strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, and digital payments. His progression from Vodafone India and Reliance Communications to HDFC Bank and now PayU reflects a career built on continuous learning, leadership, and innovation. In his new role, he is well-positioned to strengthen PayU’s Government & Education business and contribute to the advancement of India’s digital payments ecosystem.
