Vivek Prasad has been appointed as Director – Strategy at Cleantech Solar. In this strategic leadership role, he will spearhead the companyโs growth agenda across geographies, driving strategy formulation and execution across the renewable energy business. His mandate includes business development strategy, investment and budget optimization, pipeline development and tracking for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Utility-scale businesses, as well as strengthening market intelligence capabilities to enable faster and more informed leadership decisions.
With nearly two decades of diverse experience across renewable energy, green hydrogen, infrastructure, project finance, business development, and strategic planning, Vivek brings a comprehensive understanding of the evolving clean energy landscape. His expertise spans Solar, Wind, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Green Hydrogen, project acquisitions, financial modelling, regulatory frameworks, and technology partnerships, making him well positioned to lead Cleantech Solarโs strategic growth ambitions.
Prior to joining Cleantech Solar, Vivek served as Vice President, India at Enfinity Global, where he led renewable energy and green hydrogen initiatives across C&I and utility businesses, overseeing business development, project acquisitions, regulatory strategy, technology due diligence, financial modelling, and investment decisions. Earlier, he served as Assistant Vice President at Think Energy Partners, leading projects across solar and water sectors while driving market intelligence and strategic initiatives. Before that, he was Assistant General Manager at Essel Infraprojects Ltd., where he managed infrastructure and renewable energy projects spanning solar, water desalination, waste-to-energy, and wastewater recycling.
Earlier in his career, Vivek spent seven years with Rochem Separation System, Rochem Green Energy, and Concord Blue Technology as Senior Manager โ Business Development, PPP, Market Research, Financial Modelling, EPC & Project Execution. During this period, he led several pioneering projects across waste-to-energy, waste-to-hydrogen, biofuels, and public-private partnership models. He also founded ExpressWheels, a technology-enabled last-mile logistics startup, showcasing his entrepreneurial mindset and ability to build scalable business models. Prior to his transition into renewable energy, Vivek worked as Senior Software Engineer at Wipro Technology, where he gained valuable experience in business analysis and enterprise systems.
An alumnus of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Philippines, with specialization in Finance and Marketing, Vivek combines strategic vision with operational execution and deep sectoral expertise. His appointment reinforces Cleantech Solarโs commitment to accelerating growth and innovation across the renewable energy ecosystem.
