Dr. Yusuf Hashmi has stepped into the position of Chief Cybersecurity Advisor at Dell Technologies, bringing with him an exceptional 27-year legacy in enterprise security, cyber strategy, and critical infrastructure protection. Recognized globally as a Top 100 Cyber Titan and among India’s Top 10 CISOs, he is widely respected for his expertise in Zero Trust, OT/ICS security, Telecom OSS/BSS, XDR, and large-scale governance frameworks. In his new role, Dr. Hashmi is guiding CISOs and executive security leaders across the region, helping them strengthen cyber resilience and adopt modern security architectures aligned with today’s evolving threat landscape.
Prior to joining Dell Technologies, Dr. Hashmi served as the Group Chief Information Security Officer at Jubilant Bhartia Group, where he established a comprehensive cybersecurity transformation roadmap across 13 group entities. His leadership resulted in the creation of a Global Cyber Defense Center, a 30% reduction in operational costs through security modernization, and the rollout of advanced enterprise-wide initiatives—including SSE, PAM, ITDR, OT segmentation, next-gen SIEM, and cyber GRC automation. His work reinforced cybersecurity as a strategic business enabler and significantly elevated the conglomerate’s risk posture.
Earlier, Dr. Hashmi held senior leadership positions at Coforge, Tata Teleservices, Indus Towers, Wipro, Colt Technology Services, Kantar, and Aptech, where he built high-performing cybersecurity teams, designed global security offerings, modernized risk and compliance frameworks, and led multi-million-dollar resilience programs across telecom, BFSI, manufacturing, aviation, oil & gas, and critical infrastructure sectors. His contributions include pioneering cloud security strategies, building Zero Trust architectures, creating AI-enabled compliance models, and optimizing IT governance across large and complex enterprises.
