Harshajit Kaushik joins HDFC Bank Ltd. as the State Head – NE Zone 1, Government & Institutional Business, marking a significant step in his continued journey in the banking sector. With extensive experience in government and institutional banking, digital solutions, and team leadership, he brings a strong strategic vision to one of the bank’s key regional mandates.
In his previous role at HDFC Bank, Harshajit served as Area Head – Government & Institutional Business for over six years, where he led critical initiatives across CASA growth, profitability, PFMS integrations, and customized digital banking solutions. His ability to work closely with government bodies, including NIC, enabled him to deliver efficient and impactful solutions across the region.
Before joining HDFC Bank, Harshajit spent nearly seven years at ICICI Bank, taking on multiple leadership and relationship management roles across Mumbai and Guwahati. His experience spanned institutional business portfolios, elite trade operations, import–export processes, letters of credit, cash management, and retail banking products—giving him a comprehensive understanding of diverse financial ecosystems.
Harshajit holds a PGDBM in Banking and Finance from Manipal University and is recognized for his strong leadership, client-centric approach, and team-building capabilities. His diverse experience and depth of knowledge position him well to drive HDFC Bank’s government and institutional banking efforts across the Northeast region.
