Lalit Gupta has been appointed as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) of SG Finserve Limited. With an illustrious career spanning more than 27 years across India’s leading banking and financial institutions, Mr. Gupta brings a wealth of experience in corporate banking, trade finance, and supply chain finance to his new role. His appointment marks an important step in SG Finserve’s continued journey toward strengthening its leadership and accelerating its strategic vision.
Before joining SG Finserve Limited, Mr. Gupta served as Senior Vice President & Head Sales for Trade & Supply Chain Finance at Axis Bank, where he led business development across Corporate and Institutional segments including Large Corporate, MNC, Mid-Corporate, PSU, and Regional entities. During his tenure, he successfully built and managed one of India’s top-performing Supply Chain Financing portfolios, playing a pivotal role in expanding the bank’s wholesale banking franchise.
Prior to Axis Bank, Mr. Gupta held senior leadership positions at Vayana Network, where he served as Senior Vice President & Head of Corporate Sales for India, and earlier led the North & East Zone for Corporate & Institutional Sales. His experience at Vayana Network further strengthened his industry understanding of digital supply chain finance, technology-led platforms, and enterprise financing solutions, enabling him to contribute significantly to the company’s national expansion efforts.
Mr. Gupta’s earlier career includes nearly a decade at Barclays as Relationship Director and Senior Relationship Manager for Corporate Banking across North and East India, where he managed marquee clients and large corporate portfolios. Prior to Barclays, he had his corporate banking journey with HDFC Bank as Assistant Vice President for the Northern region, overseeing key client acquisitions and managing strategic credit portfolios. His deep understanding of client needs, relationship management, and financial product structuring has consistently defined his professional success.
With his extensive experience and proven leadership across reputed organizations such as Axis Bank, Barclays, HDFC Bank, Vayana Network, and State Bank of India, Lalit Gupta is well-positioned to lead SG Finserve Limited’s business strategy, drive growth across verticals, and enhance the company’s value proposition in the financial services ecosystem.
