Srijeet Sarkar has been promoted to Senior Director – Human Resources at MakeMyTrip India Private Limited (redBus), further strengthening his leadership position within the organization. In his expanded role, he will continue spearheading the HR charter for the Tech and Product teams at redBus while also driving AI-enabled HR technology adoption initiatives across the broader MakeMyTrip ecosystem.
With significant experience in strategic HR business partnering across product-based IT organizations, Srijeet has played a key role in building agile, future-ready, and high-performing teams. Over the years, he has established himself as a seasoned HR leader with expertise in talent management, organizational development, HR transformation, HR Tech and business partnering.
His elevation reflects the organization’s continued focus on strengthening people practices while leveraging technology-driven HR solutions to support scale and innovation across business functions.
Prior to this promotion, Srijeet held multiple HR leadership responsibilities at redBus and contributed extensively to HR technology initiatives. His experience in managing HR functions for technology and product-focused teams has enabled him to align people strategy closely with evolving business and digital transformation goals.
Earlier in his career, Srijeet worked with Oracle as an HR Business Partner for the Product Development group, gaining valuable exposure to strategic HR partnering within large-scale technology environments. He also worked with Sapiens (Candela Labs) as Assistant Manager – HRBP, where he managed business partnering for both tech and non-tech teams while leading the organizational effectiveness charter.
With his extensive cross-industry HR experience and strong understanding of technology-led people transformation, Srijeet Sarkar is expected to continue contributing significantly to the growth and people-first vision of redBus and the wider MakeMyTrip Group.
