Rajarajacholan A has been appointed as Head – Retail Liabilities Sales at Karur Vysya Bank(KVB), bringing over 28 years of experience across retail banking, liabilities sales, branch operations, corporate salary accounts, market expansion, and customer relationship management.
Prior to joining KVB, Rajarajacholan spent over 22 years with ICICI Bank, where he most recently served as Zonal Head – Corporate Employee Solutions Group. In this role, he spearheaded the Corporate Salary Accounts business for Tamil Nadu, overseeing 1,200 corporates and managing a substantial liabilities portfolio.
Earlier, he served as Zonal Head – Retail, leading 55 branches across Chennai with a team of more than 600 colleagues, followed by his tenure as Regional Head – Retail, where he drove branch operations, regional growth, profitability, and customer relationships. He also held leadership roles in Corporate Salary Accounts and Retail Liabilities Sales.
Rajarajacholan began his career with Thomson Electronic, progressing through roles across sales coordination, marketing, and product management before moving into banking. His extensive leadership journey positions him to contribute to KVB’s retail liabilities business, customer acquisition, and growth initiatives.
